Here are a couple of links for those of you who are looking to get up to speed with SharePoint 2007 development/environment.
- Grab the SharePoint IT Pro and Developer Training Resources Sheet (download details) for a cheat sheet on getting started.
- Ready to code? Install the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Tools: Visual Studio 2005 Extensions, Version 1.1 (download details) and get cozy with the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Tools: Visual Studio 2005 Extensions User Guide, Version 1.1 (download details).
- Grab some popcorn and watch the Windows SharePoint Services 3 Visual How Tos found over at MSDN. These sessions are led by Ted Pattison, Andrew Connell, Joel Krist and Patrick Tisseghem. While these videos are classified as WSS 3 specific, the knowledge also applies to a MOSS 2007 environment.
- 'Do Less. Get More. Develop on SharePoint.' is the message at The SharePoint Developer Introduction for .NET Developers website. Virtual online labs are also part of the site.
- Host any ASP.NET web user control using the SmartPart for SharePoint (codeplex).
- SharePoint Solution Installer (codeplex) - a user friendly installation and deployment of SharePoint 2007 solution files to a SharePoint server farm.
- WSPBuilder (codeplex) - a SharePoint Solution Package (WSP) creation tool for WSS 3.0 & MOSS 2007.
- Reflector for .NET (Lutz Roeder) is a class browser, explorer, analyzer and documentation viewer for .NET. It allows to easily view, navigate, search, decompile and analyze .NET assemblies in C#, Visual Basic and IL.
- Here is a personal favorite - the SharePoint Cross-site Configurator (codeplex) automates the process of deploying the MOSS site settings in all or selected sites in a server farm.
